Business Success, Authenticity, and Client Loyalty

Welcome to my newsletter!

This week's focus:

Building a successful business – the big lessons I’ve learnt.

How to connect with customers – the importance of authenticity.

How to build client loyalty – getting the most out of your existing client pool.

Building a successful company

I’ve built a business that I’m really proud of, a multi-7-figure recruitment business that gives me and my family a great life.

Here’s some of the things I’ve learnt over the years.

Point number one is you never actually figure it out.

Life is a continuous journey.

No matter how well you do, you’re continuing to learn, you’re continuing to grow.

Don’t beat yourself up that you haven’t figured it out.

I certainly haven’t figured it out and I’m 44 years old.

You just have to accept and embrace the journey of life, and don’t beat yourself up that you haven’t got answers all the time.

The other thing I want to say is that it’s taken me years to build a reputation.

Always just think about your integrity. Don’t ever jeopardise that and don’t ever do something that can blow all the hard work you’ve done out the water.

It takes seconds to kill your reputation and years to actually earn it.

Have integrity at the heart of everything you do and protect your reputation at all given opportunities.

That leads me nicely onto my next point.

Don’t be in a rush to get to where you want to go.

I’ve never really met a super successful person who did it overnight.

It’s lottery winners that win money overnight.

But in business you take your time, you build your wealth.

Accept that as a big part of the journey.

And the final thing is to respect people but don’t idolise them.

Everyone is full of flaws.

There are people that are great at some things but not people that are great at everything.
